Earlier this month I had the opportunity to rework/cover up my clients older tattoo. Often times I shy away from reworks and coverups because handpoke can look so much lighter (daintier) than the original tattoo making it a real challenge to camouflage. Amy sent me a photo of her older tattoo (shown on slide three) and wanted it hidden within a flower, whatever flower would work the best. She mentioned loving peonies and I mentioned that an anemone would be a great option because they already have such dark centers. My client was open to artistic expression and this made my job a lot easier with finding a way to work with her current piece. We might need to add in a little bit more dimension and black into this and touch up the white after it is healed but I am so excited with how this turned out. Often times I work on larger designs that are heavily detailed and this was so much fun to focus on only a flower. I would love to create some really gorgeous and flowy floral designs in the new year if that is something you would be interested in, please reach out 🙏 Swipe to see how we were able to camouflage her previous 18 year old tattoo. What do you think of how we chose to incorporate it? As always this was done all by hand with no machine used. Done in one full day session at @princejohnnystudio in Seattle, WA
Every once in a while I get the opportunity to do some custom color tattoos. And I want to do more! I have a couple of remaining dates available in January and February and I would love to bring to life some color florals in a more realistic style with heavy blackwork. For the first couple of bookings in this style I will happily offer it as a discounted rate. DM me to inquire! If you would like to see this healed before we added the color make sure to swipe! So so proud of this piece and the other we got to create together. A huge thank you to Bethany for the time and trust. Done at my studio in Seattle @princejohnnystudio If you want to support me please make sure to be following the studio as well 🤍
STERNUM TATTOOS you have my heart. Is there any other tattoo more intrinsically feminine than a sternum tattoo? They just transform the body and flow so beautifully. This was a really fun tattoo to bring to life for @shoshanaglickman.photography Shoshana had two tattoos that they loved but wanted to feel more cohesive and tied together. I did touch up areas of the older tattoos and in order to have everything feel like one cohesive piece I added in elements of their older designs into the new piece. *swipe to the last photo to see the before! I would love to do more sternum tattoos like this in the new year. I have a couple last minute openings for December and am currently booking for February & March. This was a full day tattoo session spent together 🤍
Handpoked stained glass water lilies 🪷 I don’t get the opportunity to do a lot of color designs and this was my first ever stained glass tattoo. I’ve gotta say that I am OBSESSED with the way this turned out. Thank you Leila for your trust and patience with this. We split this design into two half day sessions as I knew that the color and detail would be best done in two parts and it would take longer than six hours. This allowed us to lay the ground work and do the outline and base grey shading in the first appointment then we added in more black and the color in the second appointment. I would love to bring more stained glass designs to life! I am currently booking for February and March. If you would like to snag a spot in the new year with me just send a DM with your ideas 🌱 . . . . . Done at @princejohnnystudio in Seattle . . . . #handpoke #handpoketattoos
