Earlier this month I had the opportunity to rework/cover up my clients older tattoo. Often times I shy away from reworks and coverups because handpoke can look so much lighter (daintier) than the original tattoo making it a real challenge to camouflage. Amy sent me a photo of her older tattoo (shown on slide three) and wanted it hidden within a flower, whatever flower would work the best. She mentioned loving peonies and I mentioned that an anemone would be a great option because they already have such dark centers. My client was open to artistic expression and this made my job a lot easier with finding a way to work with her current piece. We might need to add in a little bit more dimension and black into this and touch up the white after it is healed but I am so excited with how this turned out. Often times I work on larger designs that are heavily detailed and this was so much fun to focus on only a flower.
