What’s flash? What’s the difference between flash and pre-drawns designs? In my tattoo practice, flash are designs I have painted on a flash sheet. They are always available to be tattooed and may be repeated in the future. Generally, I don’t make modifications except to fit a space OR to adjust the features of a human subject to reflect that of the wearer more closely. For example, if I draw a lady heady with Euro-centric features, I’m happy to adjust her to display physical features of different racial and/or ethnic features.
Pre-drawn designs are available line drawings or sketches in my book that will be tattooed once. I can modify these in the same way as flash, but they’re generally a little more flexible. We can reconfigure shapes, floral arrangements, add or subtract leaves etc to fit a space.
Pre-drawn designs are constantly being claimed and added, so it’s near impossible to make them available for viewing ahead of an appointment. I try to put peeks on my stories/highlights. I plan to update these this weekend!
