Woah. 10 years of tattooing.
There’s an uncanny feeling that comes along with reflecting over the span of a decade, a sense of pride and accomplishment peppered with humility. I have so much gratitude, for the opportunity given by my mentor, the “foot in the door”, the support from other artists who have shaped me not only as a tattoo artist but as a human and always pushed me to do better, for the clients who have been with me since the beginning and were generous and gracious during those first shaky tattoos.
My mentor gave me one really good piece of advice early on- Don’t box yourself into a corner, remain versatile enough to continue working even if the work isn’t your favorite type.
So on that note, heading into my second decade in this time honored trade- I’d love to dip a toe into trad style biomechanical/bio organica. I am actively seeking clients who are drawn to this art style who have strangely shaped gaps between tattoos and are willing to let me freehand some weird, bony/gooey/metallic organic stuff on them. If you’re open minded and want something really unique, I’d really love to cut my teeth in this style. Send me a message, fill in the form on my website, or email me at mjdtats@gmail.com
Thank you to everyone who has supported my career, whether by getting tattooed, buying merch, or being kind and offering words of encouragement and support. Y’all rock💖
