Hi friends! I wanted to give a little update about relocating, fundraising, and books opening.
It’s no secret that things have been incredibly difficult and strained everywhere, but especially in Chicago. Watching my city get targeted and terrorized over the last several months has been heartbreaking and emotionally exhausting. I’ve felt called to be more active in the community and use whatever resources that are at my disposal to protect my loved ones and fellow neighbors—from fundraising, volunteering/ pro bono work, food donations, raising awareness, and simply being a safe space for clients to mourn these grievances.
This has been a very draining process, but I find it imperative to continue showing up for the community—the same community that keeps me booked and fed, gives me friendship and a sense of belonging, and makes my home a home. For that reason, my timeline for my move has shifted as things remain dangerous for people to simply exist without being profiled and persecuted.
RELOCATION: For the time being, I will NOT be leaving Chicago in February 2026. I am playing things by ear and seeing how things pan out. I will give a harder timeline once I have a better idea!
But Dallas, I will be planning visits to guest spot in the meantime! I’m still very excited to tattoo y’all and work with the incredible team at Formula, I just don’t think it can happen in the way I had originally anticipated given the current circumstances.
FUNDRAISING: The in-person fundraising event has started to take shape, and I’ll be gauging interest to help decide on a venue size. I’ll make a poll on my story to see if an event in mid-Jan is something y’all would attend. I plan on doing a huge raffle with many different prizes and might have food/craft vendors, DJs, etc. depending on general interest and size!
BOOKING: I’ll be opening my books for Feb 2026 and beyond very soon! I’ll send out an email blast and make a post once I have a timeline. Just want to give y’all the heads up that I will, indeed, be taking more appointments :)
As always, thank you so much for your support. These are heavy times, and I am eternally grateful for this community 🫂
