A departure from my regular content to share the profound experience I had in Sicily this past week with my best friends!! @sargentsage and @haus_of_ritual
We met 15 years ago on an overnight ferry from Croatia to Italy. I was a shop girl at the time(getting @grlsnake_ coffee and tattooing elvish on her afterhours lol). After the hellish ride, they rescued me from my shitty travel companion and we travelled thru Italy together for a few weeks. I had just met new people who would become my lifelong sisters. Hence this 10 year anniversary/reunion trip to Italy but make it SICILY this time(plz enjoy some pics of the art, architecture n cats I experienced^)🫠
When I returned from that 3 month long eurotrip in 2015 I went pedal to the metal on my tattoo career- committing to commit to the practice for life. So how special it was to walk into a tattoo shop in Syracuse @alohakaitattooclub to get (literally the dumbest) friendship tatties w my gorls and leave not only with a new perfect tattoo from @emabotattoo but also doing an impromptu for the shop owner @nikkififtysixx (both of whomst I now LOVE duh btw)!!! It’s so poignant to have received and left parts of my craft on this trip- just some full circle ahh shi シ
So I guess since I’m a week and change away from my 10 year tat bday, I cant help but reflect on the empire I’ve built in the last decade.. but at its core it’s really just an ode to the support beams I found/found me that I’ve clung to that have allowed it all to happen. If we’ve shared any time together in any capacity along this tattoo journey of mine- thank you.
